Location: I-95, exit 92 – Ashland, Virginia
If you’re looking for a nice restaurant that serves great prime rib or ribs, Smokey Pig is the place. It is located in Ashland, less than 1/4 mile west of I-95. This place is hog heaven! When you enter you’ll be greeted by just about every pig curio that has ever been made… pig shirts, earrings, hats, jewelry and statues and in the waiting room which is inside the restaurant. The covered waiting room holds about 50 people. You’ll find that on weekends the waiting room is full! Most waits are less than one hour. The food is well worth the wait. They are closed on Mondays.

The Smokey Pig is one of the best places we’ve ever ate at. When We go to Florida We always try and stop there.
One small correction from the first post.. The Smokey Pig while a fantastic place to get some really great food, it is just a tad further than the 1/4 mile posted..
From exit 92 off of I-95 go West to Route 1. (About a mile) Turn left onto Route 1 South for about 1/4 Mile and the Smokey Pig is on your right.
I found this place to be ok. Service was very friendly but we are used to fall-off the bone ribs and they did not. Minced pork sandwich was tasty but dry. But the pig stuff was cool!
