Dined at a great restaurant on your way down I-95 lately? Maybe you've grabbed a bite at a nice little diner. We would love to hear about it! Just use this form. This forum is dedicated to all those road warriors who have found or are looking for that perfect stop along America's East Coast Main Street... I-95!
Location: I-95 (New Jersey Turnpike), Exit 16E, Secaucus, New Jersey
This is a great stop right off the New Jersey Turnpike exit at 16E. They offer authentic Indian food, but it’s served with American tastes in mind. They use less oils and it is supposed to be a bit healthier. They are also very good at explaining the exotic dishes. We found it to be flavorful and fun. There is also a full bar which is unusual for an Indian Restaurant.
This is a nice place to take the family! Applebee’s Neighborhood Grill & Bar is a national chain with a great atmosphere, a nice selection and reasonable prices. There seem to be more and more Applebee’s being built and we’ve noted that the menu varies from region to region but some of the more popular choices are common to all. They have also got a great selection for the kids.
I’m a sub man. Always was, always will be. On the road (I’m a salesman) I need good food fast and cheap. Blimpie’s is great food, cheap. I just whip out my Blimpie’s card, order a 12″ Blimpie’s Best and I’m good to go. It’s healthy food too… but that’s not why I like it. It’s just good
We’ve always enjoyed breakfast at the Cracker Barrel. They give you good southern food and good friendly service. They also serve lunch and dinner. We recommend this restaurant for a good hearty breakfast at reasonable prices. The rest rooms are very clean. They have a nice gift shop, and have some very charming country items.
If you’re looking for a change from the fast-food, eat and run stop, try Denny’s. There’s all kinds of them from Virginia to Florida and many are located just off the exits.
For roughly the same price as a fast-food joint, you get to sit down and take a break and be waited on. One nice thing about Denny’s is no matter which one you visit, the menus and prices are all the same. You can get a full breakfast or lunch for under $5, or a respectable dinner for well under $10. It’s not the Ritz but not too shabby for the price.
What a wonderful surprise! Fiddleheads Restaurant is located less than a mile from I-95, exit 8 (New Jersey Turnpike) in Jamesburg. They have delicious food, great prices and the best service. We make it a habit to stop here every time we are passing thru the area. The service is always great. Each time we stop we try something different. The owners cook and run the restaurant and take the time to really make a customer feel welcome. Everyone that I have mentioned this place to has loved their experience as well. We highly recommend it to I-95 travelers.
Popeye’s Chicken and Biscuit restaurants are few and far between up here in New England, but every time we travel south on I-95 we make it a point to stop at a Popeye’s at least once. Specializing in New Orleans-style chicken, Popeye’s is the world’s second-largest quick-service chicken chain. We love it! It’s got KFC beat by a mile!
Location: I-95 (NJ Turnpike), exit 7A – Jackson, New Jersey
Solo Bella is a very good Italian restaurant. I found this restaurant in my travels. The food is excellent and the service is great. It’s definitely worth giving it a try. I recommend it!
Location: I-95 (New Jersey Turnpike), Exit 7, Bordentown, New Jersey
Mastori’s Diner is located in Bordentown, New Jersey, just off the New Jersey Turnpike Exit 7. The food there is excellent and the portions are generous. They serve homemade cinnamon or cheese bread with every meal. There is also a bakery right on the premises. I highly recommend Mastori’s Diner to anyone traveling I-95.
