Location: I-95 Exit 67, Old Saybrook, Connecticut

Pat’s Kountry Kitchen is located right off of I-95 in Old Saybrook , CT. They have a friendly, homey atmosphere and fabulous food. For the past several years they have been voted best family dining by Connecticut Magazine. One of the house specialties is clam hash. You’ve got to try it… It was great!

Ryan’s Steak House – Roanoke Rapids, North Carolina

Location: I-95 Exit 173 Roanoke Rapids, North Carolina

We just returned from driving I-95 from I-20 in Florence SC to Philadelphia. We also stopped at exit 173 in Roanoke Rapids NC, and ate at Ryan’s Steak House. I have to add my kudos about this restaurant. They have a great buffet, really reasonable prices (about $10 for the buffet and drink), really friendly and courteous employees. I would recommend Ryan’s for everybody. We stayed at the Hampton Inn in Roanoke Rapids- it’s a motel type, but clean and comfortable like all Hamptons.
