We love Popeye’s and you can get more convenient than having one right at a rest area! The only Popeye’s for miles around is at the Kennebunk Northbound Service Area on I-95 (a few miles south of Portland).

Compared to the Popeye’s down south, the prices here seem a little steep… but if you go online to their website (www.popeyes.com) you may get lucky and find a coupon. Great spicy chicken and sides. I love the dirty rice. This is my favorite fast food by far!

Location: I-95, exit 4 – Newington, NH

This IHOP is a couple of miles from I-95. Take exit 4 to US Route 4 to exit 1 and the Newington Mall. It’s tucked away at the eastern end of the property. There aren’t too many IHOPs in northern New England and this one is fairly new.

Reasonable prices and hearty helpings, who could ask for anything more? Whenever we head to the coast for a few days, we make it a point to stop at this IHOP at least once. The kids love it!
